Launched in 1947 by the British Medical Association (BMA), the Journal of Clinical Pathology has grown into a highly respected and important resource for pathologists over the last 75 years. To celebrate the journal's anniversary in 2022, we are reflecting on key achievements and highlighting some of the most influential research that the journal has published. New Editor-in-Chief appointed
We are delighted to announce that Professor Vikram Deshpande has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Clinical Pathology.
Professor Deshpande is Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and Pathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, in the USA. His research has focused on surgical pathology in the areas of gastrointestinal and connective tissue diseases. His contributions to the field of IgG4-related disease have been instrumental in establishing diagnostic criteria, as well as pioneering new treatments for this disease. Professor Deshpande has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, reviews and book chapters and has been an invited speaker at major national and international pathology meetings.
Professor Deshpande will officially take up his post as Editor-in-Chief on 1st January 2023, succeeding Professor Tahir Pillay.
